With yesterday being Juneteenth, some quotes that hit home for me to recognize the day.
Juneteenth is a celebration of the emancipation of enslaved people in America.
This year will mark 155 years since the original Juneteenth.
Being very open, I didn’t know that much about Juneteenth before this year. Where the United Stated is today has opened my eyes to it and allowed me to become more educated.
I am also grateful to be part of an amazing organization WWT who took the opportunity to give a day off in commemoration of this day to help everyone reflect upon it, leading to future change.
